Contos De Foghile carpet by Antonio Marras
In the Contos de foghile collection (a Sardinian expression meaning "tales of the hearth") the colors are the classic traditional ones and iconic of the Marras maison: ecru, black and burgundy. Even the motifs are a revisitation of traditional designs, updated to transport the memory into the present. In the Semestene and Barace carpets they are inserted within concentric frames, to underline the harmonious contrast between decoration and rigor. The workmanship, which is inspired by the pibiones grain weaving technique typical of Sardinian culture, recalls the values of the most authentic craftsmanship.
