In Bernois the model of the modern design sideboard, focused on volumetric and formal simplicity, is embellished by the refinement of small stylistic variations. Roberto Paoli's project is based on the perceptive effects generated by a light relief motif on the doors: a sequence of vertical "folds" that generate an iridescent play of chiaroscuro. The image of the sideboard thus changes in relation to the light and the observer's point of view, according to an aesthetic idea that interprets the dynamic style of contemporary life.‎
