Calatea armchair - Pianca

Eclectic and elegant, fascinating and charismatic: Calatea, the armchair designed for Pianca by Cristina Celestino, represents the synthesis of formal research that investigates the out-of-scale proportions of primitive and simple elements such as leaves. What inspired the organic volumes and the richness of the finely researched details were the extraordinary peculiarities of the plant of the same name native to South America, capable of offering multiple sensorial experiences. The matrix of the project is the dialogue between botany and ergonomics, resolved through a bold, enveloping and comfortable design, characterized by lively and brilliant colours, drawn from the surprising natural colors of the plant.

Exclusive fabric covering, gray oak wooden feet, The structure is made of coated rigid polyurethane. The seat and back cushions are made of differentiated density polyurethane foam with a fiber-coated velveteen lining.
